Mission Statement / Committee Charge

The Transportation SWATeam (iCAP team) works to advance the Illinois Climate Action Plan (iCAP) 2020 transportation objectives by forming recommendations to identify how to reduce the campus emissions attributed to transportation. The team addresses, for example, air travel emissions, fleet emissions, single-occupancy vehicle usage, carbon offsets, pedestrian and bike improvements, renewable fuels, and active transportation. The iCAP teams are tasked with recommending sustainable actions and concrete steps that should be taken to meet and support iCAP goals, and report annually on progress made toward Illinois Climate Action Plan objectives.
