Alma R. Sealine is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Auxiliary, Health & Wellbeing and Executive Director of University Housing. Alma joined the University of Illinois in July 2013 as the Director of University Housing, after serving within the housing department for 14 years at Case Western Reserve University. Prior to her appointment at Case Western University, she gained experience from time spent at Western Illinois University, West Virginia University, Indiana University and William Jewell College.

In her role as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Auxiliary, Health & Wellbeing and Executive Director of University Housing, Alma is responsible for the oversight of Capital Planning and Space Management for Student Affairs and leads University Housing, the largest self-supporting auxiliary enterprise within the Division of Student Affairs. University Housing is represented by seven units (Administration, Business Services, Dining Services, Family & Graduate Housing, Housing Facilities, Housing Information & Marketing, Inclusion & Talent Development and Residential Life), and serves more than 11,000 residents—undergraduate, graduate, families, visiting faculty, guests—in 26 residence halls and 1,122 on-campus apartments with over 650 full-time and part-time staff and up to 2000 student employees. University Housing also serves as the primary catering operation on campus.

Alma values her involvement in professional organizations and is an active member of the Association of College and University Housing Officers-International (ACUHO-I), where she served as president and chair of the ACUHO-I Foundation. She is a member of the prestigious ACUHO-I Parthenon Society, received the ACUHO-I James C. Grimm Award for Leadership and Service, and has served as a faculty member for ACUHO-I’s South African Training Institute and National Housing Training Institute. She is also involved in GLACUHO where she has received the John C. Collins Distinguished Service Award, served as a faculty member at the Professional Development Institute and was a past president and committee member.

In her free time Alma enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her 10 nieces and nephews and four great nieces and nephews, along with antiquing, quilting, gardening, listening to music and baking.
